Ferrari Enzo F1 Racer
In 1947 the first Ferrari automobile was created. Powered by a 1.5 liter V12 engine it was the fastest car around the time. Enzo was the creators of the first Ferrari's. He became very wealthy from his customers, who did not only buy for the performance but also the looks.
Ferrari being an Italian car raced against some German, American models in racing series. This leads to causing Dilemma's for Ferrari in 1963-1967 because Ford developed there Ford GT -40. Eventually this would lead to a boycott because Ferrari couldnt race in 1967 because the FIA banned prototypes over 3000cc.
These years saw a new challenger. Formerly competing with smaller cars only, the Germans entered the new 3 litre sports car prototype class in 1968 with the Porsche 908, while Ferrari raced the Ferrari 312P in only few events in 1969.
In 1988 Enzo Died, after this event the price of his cars shot up. His last Model that he ever made was the Ferrari F40.As of 2004, Fiat Group owns 56% of Ferrari, Mediobanca owns 15%, Commerzbank owns 10%, Lehman Brothers owns 7%, and Enzo's adopted son Peiro Ferrari owns 10%. Of these, Ferrari is under main control of the Fiat Group, containing Alfa Romeo as well.
With the Enzo being made only 400 times the price has got to be alot, when the first 349 were built they costed a total of $643,330 USD for current customers who bought either a Ferrari F40 or F50. After numerous request's they made 50 more making it 399 total for the same price. The very last one ever made was for a contribution to the tsunami that happened in 2004. They made 1 last one making it 400 built and it auctioned off for a total of 1,274,229.
In all, the Ferrari Enzo FXX is a modern marvel and another Maranello legend, a car with all the charisma and significance of the fabled 250 GT0 and 365 GTB/4 Daytona. Where will it lead? Hard to say, but there seems little doubt that many future Ferraris will owe a debt to this singular automobile.
